Although my posts have fallen by the wayside, I've been enjoying communication via images. In other words, I'm hooked on Instagram. Find me here.

I've been quiet lately.
Spring has been so warm and beautiful, I wouldn't dare sully it with words.
Been busy making, focusing, exploring and laughing my pants off...

Thrifted a pair of amazing woven raffia mules and a soft, striped pashmina.

This Summer's color scheme.

Craving Vietnamese papaya salad sans green papaya. Golden beets, radishes and the crunchiest market carrots made great stand-ins.

New slash old technology as vintage brass bookend. Remember when computers took up entire rooms?

Been trying to work out my drawing muscles again. Facets and gold for a friend.

My sometime office view aka freelancing has its perks.

True story...

Guess who? Best fan art ever... #rupaulsdragrace

Warm days and cold nights. Catch some rays while you can. Those beams trick the buds into an early Spring. I don't mind...
I've had places to go, and things to do. A chance to stop and warm the knees is always welcome.

Been passing on my knit projects to friends, and finally knitted something for myself.
Sitting in the sweet spot at Spike's enjoying a delicious Americano, house pop on Pandora,
and feeling grateful for creative hands and simply enjoying life.

Camellia my love....

Spring's easy tears

Raise the red lantern. Escaped the Chinese New Year crush, and found a nice spot to toast the snakes.

Finally found the right red.

I went to Yountville recently, in the company of a lovely friend, and a couple of 4-legged cutie patooties.
It was nice to slow down, take stock, look at trees.... Caked mud on my skin, took a mineral bath, slept like a dream,
drank a selection of bubblies for breakfast, and ate a few towers of amazing seafood.

A welcomed luxury, comma and precursor to my momentary escape from the city. The beauty in yellow.

Pre-trip breakfast of gluten-free lemon ricotta pancakes with raspberry sauce.

Let's bang out 2013:
cut our bangs,
light the world on fire,
bang a drum...
Keep blazing a path
to self-realization,
and remembering to share laughs
and give love
along the way.

Lastly, do it in style...

Peter was hosting my piggies for a while, and made this obscenely cute video tribute to them. Awwwwwww....

I've been dodging the fog all day. I saw it tumble into the neighborhood, riding some kind of afternoon tide. Not wanting to wear covered-toe shoes just yet, and I don't mind the bit of brisk discomfort as the seasons click.

Excuse me while I kiss the sky...

I was dancing like a leprechaun with a pot of gold.
Double rainbow siting on my evening walk tonight.
You know, natural beauty really does move me to tears.

San Francisco Summers are often untimely, so when the sun comes out, you make the most of what you can. On clear day, my friend Sam had the brilliant idea of biking through Golden Gate Park to Ocean Beach. Off and away....

James showed up with Chica on board.

The Conservatory of Flowers had dahlias in bloom.

and this prehistoric-looking, spidery, spiky lovely...

We made it!

After lunch, Chica-in-a-basket & I took in some sun at perhaps the most awesome parklet ever.

I perused General Store, one of my favorite shops. A bowl of colorful knitted booties with angora vamps --kawaii handicrafts.

I was obsessed with this piece: a giant faceted quartz set in drippy bronze.

General Store's backyard. Check out the little paned house to the right.

and this big, beautifully worn table. Can you imagine morning coffee or sharing a meal here?

The beautiful array of natural and manmade.

An angora-looking cactus. Looky no touchy...

Little worlds and blank kokeshi.

We stopped by Outerlands to check out their menu. I was busy checking out their floor. Layers of history and concrete. On a side note, I picked up these leather sandals at a garage sale for a song! They turned out very beach, bike and adventure worthy.
